Oppo is gearing up to launch its brand-new Reno 16 series in China in just a few days. Ahead of that, the rumour mill has been working extra hard to bring new details for the smartphone every single day. The latest leak reveals the Oppo Reno 16 Geekbench listing, confirming its firepower.
Oppo Reno 16 Geekbench Listing Reveals Dimensity 8500 Chipset
Spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Oppo Reno 16 has managed to make an appearance on the Geekbench 6.6.0 benchmarking platform with the OPPO PMM110 model number. The leaker was initially conflicted between the Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro, but confirmed later that the listing is indeed of the standard model.
The phone has managed to score 1,611 points in the single-core test, while racking up 6,402 points in the multi-core test. The test unit rocks 12 GB RAM and Android 16.

Processor-wise, the listing mentions an octa-core chipset with 4 cores clocked at 2.20 GHz, 3 cores clocked at 3.20 GHz and 1 core clocked at 3.40 GHz. Given how familiar the 4 + 3 + 1 CPU architecture is, the hints strongly suggest we are looking at the latest Dimensity 8500 chipset from MediaTek.
This falls in line with recent Oppo Reno 16 series leaks that also indicate that the Dimensity 9500s chipset could power the Reno 16 Pro. Moreover, Yadav claims that Oppo will brand the Dimensity 8500 as Dimensity 8550. As to why, we are not sure.
Aside from that, the Reno 16 is expected to build on the foundation of Reno 15 and feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display, a bigger 6,700mAh battery, ColorOS 16 and 50 MP main and telephoto lenses.
That said, we will know for sure once the phone goes official on May 25, 2026, in China. The Reno 16 series India launch is also tipped to happen in July 2026 and is expected to bring the Reno 16, Reno 16C, Reno 16 Pro and the Reno 16 Pro Mini. So, stay tuned.
