Vivo's OriginOS 7 launched in China just about a day ago and now, the brand has finally confirmed the global launch date of the Android 17-based update.
OriginOS 7 Global Launch Date Announced
The official OriginOS Global X account has revealed that the next iteration of OriginOS will go official for global Vivo phones on September 21, 2026. However, the exact time of the launch is not known at the time of writing.

Ideally, the global launch should also include India, since the OriginOS 7 Preview Program is live for iQOO 15 and Vivo X300 Pro users in the country ahead of it.
This also makes sense since the Preview Program will go on from September 16 to September 20, 2026, right on time for the global launch the very next day. An important thing to note is that the OriginOS 7 beta will be limited to 500 spots per device.
So, if you're interested in getting the update on your iQOO 15 or Vivo X300 Pro, you might want to register for it right away.
Apart from the iQOO 15 and Vivo X300 Pro, there's a wide list of OriginOS 7 eligible devices that will get the update, so you don't have to worry about that.
Talking about some key OriginOS 7 features, thanks to the China launch, we do know of some interesting things to look forward to. For starters, the latest OriginOS update applies dynamic translucent material to the UI, letting users choose from Real, Natural and Soft profiles to further customise it.

There's also a liquid kinetic effect that kicks in upon tapping, dragging or interacting with elements in the UI in some way or another. You can also create stickers out of any image or video and stick them on your screen, which is quite cool too. It works a lot like the collection widget, which is part of Nothing OS 5.0 features.
Some other noteworthy OriginOS 7 features include Atomic Workbench for improved multitasking, AI Pampering Theme and other optimisations across the board for a more seamless experience.
With the OriginOS 7 global launch date just days away, thankfully, we won't have to wait long to know all the details, like the rollout timeline, which features will make it to the global and Indian markets, etc. Stay tuned for all the updates.
