The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra have finally launched globally, bringing flagship-grade hardware and hefty batteries to Poco’s latest lineup. Both phones are rebranded versions of the Redmi K100 series from China, with prices starting at $699.

Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra feature a 1.5K Xiaomi M11 RGB 12-bit flat AMOLED display with a 185 Hz refresh rate, 4,800 Hz instant touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision support and 4,500 nits of peak brightness for 25% of the display area. Meanwhile, for 1% of the display area, the peak brightness goes up to a staggering 10,000 nits.

The only difference between the two phones is their display size, as the F9 Pro brings a 6.59-inch panel while the F9 Ultra gets a bigger 6.9-inch display.

Performance is where both phones visibly differ. The Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra run on different versions of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. While the F9 Ultra uses the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the regular Poco F9 Pro features the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series (SM8850-1-AB).

The key difference is that the 8 Elite Gen 5 V series gets one less GPU core and 12 MB Adreno High Performance Memory (HPM) allocation.

Additionally, both phones pair their chipsets with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. There's also Xiaomi's in-house D2 discrete graphics chip and a T1+ signal booster chip for better connectivity in both Poco phones.

Camera-wise, the Poco F9 Ultra brings a superior rear camera setup, featuring a 200 MP Samsung HP5 main camera, a 50 MP 5x periscope sensor and a 50 MP 102° ultra-wide angle lens.

In comparison, the Poco F9 Pro retains the same 200 MP main and 50 MP 2.6x periscope cameras, but the ultra-wide sensor is downgraded to an 8 MP 112° unit. Both phones feature the exact same 32 MP selfie camera with 4K video recording support.

Moving on, battery capacity is another area where the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra differ. While the F9 Pro gets a 6,330mAh cell capacity, the F9 Ultra tunes it up to a whopping 8,050mAh battery.

The capacity on both phones is lower than that of the Redmi K100 Pro and the Redmi K100 Pro Max, which the new Poco phones are rebrands of.

Aside from that, they bring support for 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 27.5W reverse wired charging. As for the rest, here is a quick rundown of the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra specifications:
