The Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max have officially launched in China, bringing some seriously high-end hardware to Redmi's flagship K-series lineup. While both phones share several specifications, the Pro Max gets a more powerful chipset, upgraded camera setup, larger display and an even bigger battery.
Redmi K100 Pro Series Specifications and Features
Both phones from Redmi run on variants of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, though not identical ones. The standard Redmi K100 Pro gets the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset, which trims one GPU core slice compared to the standard version. Meanwhile, the K100 Pro Max gets the unmodified Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Additionally, both phones pair their chipsets with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. There's also Xiaomi's in-house D2 discrete graphics chip and a T1+ signal booster for better connectivity.
Cooling differs slightly too, with the Redmi K100 Pro using a 5,150mm² ice-cooled circulating pump, while the Pro Max gets a considerably larger 6,300mm² unit to handle its full-fat chipset.
On the display front, both phones use an OLED panel with 185 Hz refresh rates and Xiaomi's new M11 luminescent material. This screen reaches up to 2,200 nits of full-screen brightness with full-brightness DC dimming support.
However, the Redmi K100 Pro sticks with a flat 6.59-inch display at 2510 x 1156 resolution, while the Pro Max steps up to a larger 6.9-inch display at 2608 x 1200 resolution.
Camera-wise, the K100 Pro features a 200 MP primary camera with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto lens and an 8 MP ultrawide lens.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max builds on this with a 200 MP OIS main camera as well, but pairs it with a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultrawide lens instead, a meaningfully more capable setup on paper.
At the front, both phones feature a 32 MP selfie shooter.
Battery capacity is where the gap between the two phones is most obvious. The Redmi K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh cell with 26% silicon content. Meanwhile, the K100 Pro Max goes even bigger with a 9,070mAh battery, albeit with a lower 16% silicon content.
Despite the size difference, the K100 Pro Max is actually thinner at 8.45mm and heavier at 238 grams, compared to the K100 Pro's 8.55mm thickness and 218-gram weight.
Both phones also support 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max also picks up a few extra upgrades over the standard Pro, including a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. There's also a better 2.1-channel speaker setup made up of dual 1115D master-level speakers paired with a Deco 2016 tablet-level speaker unit on the Pro Max.
Rounding out the shared feature set, both phones come with ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners, IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings. On the software front, both phones ship with Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.0 out of the box.

Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max Price and Availability
The Redmi K100 Pro price in China starts at 3,699 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 44,500) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. It goes up to 4,699 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 56,500) for the top 16 GB + 512 GB variant. In between, it also comes in 12 GB + 512 GB and 16 GB + 256 GB variants.
On the other hand, the Redmi K100 Pro Max starts at 4,499 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 54,500) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. The top-tier 16 GB + 1 TB variant is priced at 5,999 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 72,500). It also comes in 12 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 256 GB and 16 GB + 512 GB options.
Both phones are currently available exclusively in China, with no word yet on a global or India rollout. In case they do make it to those markets, rumours suggest they could arrive rebadged as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra.
