The Redmi Note 17 series launched in China recently, and now appears to be headed to India. A new leak reveals that the Redmi Note 17 launch date in India could be set for as early as next month.
Redmi Note 17 India Launch and Sale Dates Tipped
According to a fresh leak from reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the Redmi Note 17 could launch in India on August 6, 2026. Following its debut, sales could kick off exactly a week later on August 11, 2026. The leak also outlines the key specifications of the upcoming phone.
For starters, the Redmi Note 17 could feature an 8,000mAh battery for great battery endurance. The smartphone may boast an OLED display, alongside a 50 MP Lightfusion 400 main camera for better daytime and low-light camera performance. The front hole-punch could house an 8 MP selfie snapper.
Responding to one of the replies to the post about the differences between the India and China variants, Abhishek highlighted that it could be just the main camera for now. Previously, the tipster also revealed the Redmi Note 17 base storage and colours, which suggested that the phone could arrive with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
In addition, the latest leak also reveals the design of the phone in purple, green and black colourways. From the looks of it, the Indian variant seems identical to the China variant, with a clean back design and a flat display.
As for the other Redmi Note 17 leaked specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a 7-inch 120 Hz OLED display and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.
The pricing of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro could be slightly on the expensive side, considering the ongoing RAM crisis. If you ask us, it could be priced somewhere around Rs 35,000. For those unaware, the brand hiked the prices of the Redmi A7 and A7 Pro recently, so there's always that possibility of the upcoming phones seeing future price increments as well.
With the launch date supposedly set for August 6, 2026, more information about the smartphone should be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
