Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 series will launch in China sometime in July 2026. The company has announced the arrival of its next-generation Note lineup via Weibo, while also celebrating a major milestone for the Redmi brand.
Redmi Celebrates 500 Million Sales as Note 17 Series Nears Launch
Alongside confirming the July debut of the Redmi Note 17 series, Redmi announced that it has now sold over 500 million of its Note series smartphones globally in the last 12 years. The company says the upcoming Note 17 lineup will build on that legacy by setting "a new benchmark for mid-range smartphones." The series is expected to include the standard Redmi Note 17, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and a brand-new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

According to Redmi, the new lineup will focus on improvements across build quality, display, battery life and overall user experience. While the brand has not yet revealed any official Redmi Note 17 series specifications, recent leaks have already painted a fairly detailed picture.
Redmi Note 17 Series Specifications (Leaked)
The Redmi Note 17 lineup's IMEI listing was spotted recently with the model numbers 26012RN62L, 26012RN62Y and 26012RN62A, revealing that three smartphones are in development.
Now, as per leaks, the standard Note 17 is expected to bring a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor (likely a toned-down variant of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset), a 50 MP main camera and 67W fast charging support.

As for the Redmi Note 17 Pro, it is said to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery and is expected to be powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset with some premium Snapdragon Elite gaming features like HDR gaming, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 and more. Other than that, the phone is expected to rock a 1.5K display, stereo speakers, a 50 MP main camera and a comprehensive IP rating.
Lastly, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is seemingly the top-of-the-line phone and could be a direct successor of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. It is rumoured to get a whopping 10,100mAh battery, rock a 200 MP main camera and be powered by the brand-new Dimensity 7500 chipset.
Apart from that, no other detail is known at the moment. However, with the company officially confirming the Redmi Note 17 launch in China, we should hear of an exact date anytime soon alongside more details. So, stay tuned.
