The Xiaomi India website has been quietly updated to reflect revised pricing for the Redmi Turbo 5. The smartphone launched in India for Rs 37,999, making it undeniably one of the best phones under Rs 40,000.

However, with the latest price hike, the smartphone has breached the Rs 40,000 mark, now starting from Rs 41,999 for the same 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. This brings a Rs 4,000 price hike for the base model.

The same stands true for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant, as it now costs Rs 46,999, instead of Rs 40,999, reflecting a massive Rs 6,000 price hike.

However, for those looking to purchase the smartphone, Xiaomi India is offering a Rs 2,000 flat discount on ICICI, Axis and Kotak Bank EMI and credit card transactions. Although this will not take the price back to the pre-hike value, the discounts are better to have in the current scenario.
