After rolling out One UI 9 stable for the Galaxy M47 in India last week, Samsung is now expanding the update to Galaxy A55 users in the country.
Multiple users took to the Samsung Community to share that the stable One UI 9.0 is rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy A55 in India. While limited to users who previously enrolled in the official beta phase, the update brings a host of new One UI 9.0 features and Android 17.

The update arrives via firmware version A556EXXUIEZJ1 and requires a small download of around 300 MB. That said, the update size is expected to be much higher for non-beta users who upgrade from One UI 8.5. The update could roll out very soon to such users too.
Samsung is also expected to expand the update to other regions, including North America and Europe, over the coming days. However, users in India can download it by heading to Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates.
While at it, it'd be a wise decision for users to back up their files in case something goes wrong. Besides, having a battery life of at least 30% is recommended before proceeding with the installation.
For those looking for a feature overview, One UI 9.0 primarily focuses on user-facing changes such as bringing separate toggles for dark mode and sound. Additionally, the update helps users resize sliders and the media player, adds features like My FanCam, and improves Galaxy AI features like Now Brief, Now Nudge and Scam Detection.
The stable One UI 9 rollout began with the Galaxy S26 series last month and is expected to trickle down to more One UI 9-eligible smartphones. If your Samsung phone is on the list, stay tuned, as it may receive the update soon as well.
