Samsung appears ready to enter one of the fastest-growing audio categories with its first clip-on open-ear earbuds, the alleged Galaxy Buds Able (or Galaxy Buds On). A new leak has revealed what the alleged earbuds could look like, offering the clearest view yet of Samsung's take on the popular clip-on TWS design.

An exclusive report from SamMobile has shown off the full clip-on design of the Galaxy Buds On/Able earbuds and their charging case. According to the new images, each earbud features two distinct clip-on modules joined by a C-shaped connector.

On one end, there is a rounded module with a partial accent on its outer edge. This is most likely the section that will sit near the ear canal. The other one features a complete accent ring and has a flatter end, suggesting it would sit behind the ear for a secure and snug fit.

The overall silhouette of the Samsung Galaxy Buds On/Able is clean and resembles the likes of Sony LinkBuds Clip, Huawei Free Clip, Oppo Enco Clip 2 and other solid offerings in the category.

Moreover, we also get a look at the alleged charging case of the Samsung Galaxy Buds On/Able for the first time. It follows a typical box-shaped design of regular TWS earbuds cases and features an LED indicator at the front. There is no indication if the Galaxy Buds On/Able will also have a transparent lid like the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Buds On/Able Could Use Open-Ear Air-Conduction (OWS) Technology

Moving on, the report also states that Galaxy Buds On/Able are open-ear air-conduction earbuds. This means that they will use Open Wireless Stereo (OWS) technology to deliver sound to the eardrum.

This is a direct contradiction to the Galaxy Buds On/Able first-look leak from SammyGuru, where the earbuds were said to use bone conduction technology. This means that there is a chance Galaxy Buds On/Able will use a speaker driver unit to deliver sound waves directly towards the ear canal rather than sending them via the cheekbones.

That said, Galaxy Buds On/Able are currently rumoured and Samsung has not confirmed their existence yet. They could arrive by Q3 2026, alongside the much-anticipated Galaxy S26 FE.

Also, at the time of writing, it is unclear if the open-ear earbuds will be called "Galaxy Buds On" or "Galaxy Buds Able" So, stay tuned for official details to drop.
