If you've just picked up the new flagships, you might want to double-check your insurance as repairing the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra is now more expensive than ever.

The Samsung mobile spart part cost website has detailed the Galaxy S26 series repair costs for key components, including the display, motherboard and battery. While some costs remained relatively stable, others, like the motherboard replacements, have seen a jump.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra remains the most expensive to repair, particularly due to its new Privacy Display technology and massive motherboard.

From the looks of it, display costs are up across all models by approximately 15-20%. Meanwhile, the 1 TB Galaxy S26 Ultra costs Rs 53,850, which is the price of a brand-new base Galaxy S24. Interestingly, the cost to replace the battery on the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ is cheaper than the S25 series, making long-term maintenance more affordable. 

Most importantly, it does seem like Indian buyers should get hold of a Samsung Care+ plan to protect their flagship Samsung phones this year. However, do note, as the Samsung Care+ eligibility checker website claims, "You can only buy Samsung Care+ plans through this website within 15 days of activating your new device & within 180 days for Extended Warranty."
