Samsung's Galaxy S27 series is already clearing regulatory hurdles in China well ahead of its expected January 2027 launch. The latest filings have revealed exactly how fast the two higher-end models will charge.
According to tipster Anvin on X, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have both received 3C certification. The phones are listed under model numbers SM-S9570 and SM-S9580, respectively.
The 3C filings list both upcoming Samsung Galaxy phones as "5G Digital Mobile Telephone Set" units. They share identical charging input specifications: 5.0V/2.0A or 9.0V, 1.67A or 9.0V, 2.77A or 10.0V, 4.5A or 15.0V, 3.0A or 20.0V, 3.0A, all pointing to a peak charging output of 60W.
Both listings are dated September 3, 2026, and explicitly note that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will be "sold without charger," which is not surprising at this point.
This follows an earlier round of certifications from September 1, where the standard Galaxy S27 (SM-S9520) and Galaxy S27 Plus (SM-S9560) cleared the same 3C database at 27W and 45W, respectively.
This essentially completes the certification process for all four models in the upcoming Galaxy S27 lineup well ahead of schedule. It's looking increasingly likely that Samsung could pull its next Unpacked event forward.
Leaks and reports suggest that the phones could go official sometime in late January 2027. Since that's still a while away, expect more details to surface in the coming days, so stay tuned for all the updates.
