Summary

  • Samsung could launch its TriFold foldable phone and Project Moohan headset on September 29, 2025.
  • The TriFold could arrive with Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage, alongside a premium build quality.
  • Project Moohan is expected to cost between $1,799 and $2,999 (approximately Rs 1,55,00 to Rs 2,50,000).

Just hours after Apple officially announced its September event, rumours about Samsung prepping Galaxy TriFold and Project Moohan launch have surfaced. The devices were previously believed to be launching in September, but we may now have the exact date.

According to Max Jambor on X, Samsung's TriFold foldable smartphone and Project Moohan headset could be revealed on September 29, 2025. However, Samsung has not confirmed these details, so we suggest taking them with a grain of salt.

Not much is known about the Galaxy TriFold besides that it could be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and an inward-folding dual hinge mechanism. The device is expected to boast premium build quality alongside 16 GB RAM and 1 TB internal storage.

The TriFold has been spotted twice so far, once in One UI 8 Beta animations, suggesting it could arrive with One UI 8 out of the box. It then leaked in another software leak with a Split trio option, which will likely let the TriFold run up to three apps on the main screen.

Similarly, the wraps around Samsung's Project Moohan headset have been pretty tight. Beyond the design of the headset, we don't have a lot of information about its specifications. We also know that it will be powered by the Android XR platform and a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset. It's the same chipset that's used in the recently-launched Vivo Vision MR headset.

Additionally, according to Newsworks, the headset could cost anywhere between $1,799 and $2,999 (approximately Rs 1,55,000 to Rs 2,55,000). While it's an absurdly huge ballpark figure, it tells us that Project Moohan could be cheaper than the Vision Pro, which launched at $3,499 (approximately Rs 3,00,000). Vivo launched its Vision headset recently

Either way, if the rumoured launch date is true, Samsung should come out with an official announcement soon. The firm is also expected to reveal the Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite in the event. Stay tuned as we will be closely following any developments in this space.
