The upcoming Samsung Galaxy TriFold has already shown up in several leaks, including One UI 8 animations. The latest leak reveals additional animations, hinting at wireless features such as NFC and wireless/reverse wireless charging support.
X user @TechHighest posted the new One UI animations, which suggest that the TriFold will support wireless and reverse wireless charging, alongside NFC support. The animations briefly show the back design of the TriFold, while highlighting the right way to use each feature.
Unlike traditional slab or foldable phones, a device like the TriFold may confuse users about where exactly they should place it on a charger or tap for payments. The new One UI 8 animations address that confusion by visually indicating the correct charging and NFC zones.

The instant reflex would be to place everything in the middle. However, the animations highlight that wireless charging, reverse wireless charging and NFC for payments can be used only on the back panel where the camera module resides.
Additionally, the wireless charging animations also demonstrate how the device folds twice from the right. It also points out that users cannot charge when the TriFold is fully open because the weight imbalance may pull the device down to the surface. It indicates the lack of Qi2 wireless charging, but given that the phone will have a thinner profile, the absence is not surprising.

Previous TriFold One UI 8 leaks revealed the device's design from the front. Another leak suggests the phone could boast Titanium for better durability. Specifications-wise, the device could arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Elite alongside 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
The Galaxy TriFold alongside Samsung's XR headset Project Moohan are expected to launch on September 29, 2025. We expect Samsung to announce this officially in its upcoming Galaxy Event scheduled for September 4, 2025, so stay tuned.
