Samsung's triple foldable plans are no surprise at this point. The Huawei Mate XT competitor is expected to arrive later this year and now, the chipset powering the device may have just leaked.
According to Android Authority, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Turns out, the model number of the chipset "sm8750" has made an appearance in a string of code (siop_q7mq_sm8750) in the latest One UI 8 internal beta.
While this comes in as good news as the Snapdragon 8 Elite is easily Qualcomm's greatest to date. However, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor expected to land sometime in September 2025, we were really hoping Samsung's first triple foldable would pack it instead.

Sadly, at this point, nothing else is known about the Samsung TriFold. However, a previous leak did suggest the Galaxy Z TriFold to sport an inward-folding dual-hinge mechanism. Leaks also suggest Samsung's TriFold to flaunt a premium build quality.
Additionally, past leaks have also hinted at the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold coming with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. It's also expected to sport similar cameras as the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
For now, that's all. However, since Samsung's triple foldable is expected to land sometime in December of this year, we can expect more details surface in the coming months.
