Samsung appears to be working on a new feature for One UI 8's Now Brief, where it will now remind users about someone's birthday. It could also leverage AI to make the reminders a tad bit personal and custom.
The feature was first reported by SamMobile when they tried out the latest One UI 8 beta. Now Brief can remind users of others' birthdays while giving them an option to generate custom birthday cards using AI.

As visible in the screenshots, users can create a card and generate a custom image based on existing categories and prompts. Once generated, they can save the image or go to the next step where they can choose a contact.
There are currently six styles to choose from, including Watercolour, Illustration, Pop art, Sketch, 3D cartoon, and Oil painting. Once done, Now Brief could directly present users with main contacts, rather than having them scroll through an endless list of contacts.
Once successfully set up, the feature reminds users when it's the birthday of one of the contacts. For those unaware, Now Brief rolled out in One UI 7, and it's a feature that lets users receive a summary of the day, weather alerts, music controls, and more.
Samsung recently rolled out One UI 8 Beta 2 in India, and could be finalising One UI 8 stable, around the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. The firm also recently rolled out the first One UI 8 Watch Beta to Watch 7 and Ultra users in the US and Korea.
Besides new Now Brief features, One UI 8 could get a Dynamic lock screen upgrade. The update is also touted to bring refinements and minor additions to the existing user experience, polishing it further. Now Brief has improved a great deal since launch, and the new Birthday reminders feature suggests Samsung's not done yet.
