Samsung has started the full-fledged rollout of Android 16-based One UI 8 update for smartphones in India. While previously, it has only stayed limited to the "Galaxy S" lineup and the foldables, now, it is expanding further to the budget Samsung phones as well.
Samsung Galaxy F36 and Galaxy M36 can now be upgraded to One UI 8
The stable One UI 8 build is now available to download on the Samsung Galaxy F36 and the Galaxy M36 smartphones in India. The update carries the E366BXXU2BYI4 and M366BXXUZBYI3 firmware versions, respectively, and brings the September 2025 security patch.

The update size on both phones is 2.3 GB. So, users are advices to stay connected to ta stable network connection, preferably Wi-Fi. With this, Samsung has made sure that the F36 and the M36 are the first budget smartphones to receive the One UI 8 stable update.
Apart from these phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have also started receiving the stable update to One UI 8 in some European and Asian countries. So, we expect the Indian units can get them soon.
These devices have joined the ranks of premium devices like the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy S25 FE. Even the Samsung Galaxy S23 received One UI 8 a couple of days earlier.

So, if you own either of the two budget devices, make sure to download and install the latest One UI 8 build at the earliest. You will be able to enjoy all the new One UI 8 features like Secure Folder support for apps, dynamic lock screen clock customisation, a 90:10 split-screen mode, AOD music playback controls and more.
That said, if you own any other Samsung Galaxy smartphone, a detailed One UI 8-supported devices guide is also live at Beebom Gadgets to help you track the rollout schedule.
