After surprising Galaxy S24 series users with One UI 8 update a few weeks back, Samsung is now here to delight Galaxy S23 lineup users in India with the official One UI 8 build based on Android 16.
Galaxy S23 series gets stable One UI 8 in India
The stable build of One UI 8 is now available to download on the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra in India. The update brings the S91xBXXU8EYI5 firmware version and is accompanied by the September 2025 security patch instead of the expected October 2025 one.

Samsung is rolling the update out in phases, wherein those who enrolled for One UI 8 beta will get the stable build first, which will be followed by a general rollout. It is important to note that the download size for beta testers is just shy of 300 MB, while for everyone else, it is close to 3 GB.
However, keeping the One UI 8 India rollout schedule in mind, the stable One UI 8 update is right on time for Galaxy S23 users. With this, the 2023 flagship "Galaxy S" series joins the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy S25 FE.

So, if you are a Galaxy S23 series user, make sure to update your smartphone to the latest One UI build. That will let you enjoy One UI 8 features like an improved Samsung DeX experience, dynamic lock screen clock customisation, a 90:10 split-screen mode, AOD music playback controls and more.
That said, if you own any other Galaxy "A", "F" and "M" series phone, a detailed One UI 8-supported devices guide is also live at Beebom Gadgets for your convenience.
