Samsung is yet to reveal any detail regarding its debut triple folding smartphone. While the brand has confirmed of its existence, not much is known about the device at this time. However, a recent report hints at what Samsung might be calling its much-anticipated tri-fold phone.
First spotted by tech publication GalaxyClub, Samsung has officially applied for trademark protection of its upcoming tri-fold smartphone in South Korea under the "Galaxy Z TriFold" moniker. It is listed on the Kipris trademark filing website at the time of writing.
This could either be the name of the standalone triple folding smartphone from Samsung or can also hint at the Tri-fold lineup of devices going forward.

This makes us wonder. Will Samsung release more than one triple folding smartphone? Samsung's mobile chief, TM Roh has already confirmed that Samsung is working actively to launch its debut tri-fold by the end of 2025.
Although his statement does not hint at the existence of a second triple folding smartphone, we can't be sure. However, this is just a speculation from our end and it does not denote the actual wave of events. So, take this with a grain of salt.
To recall, it was previously rumoured to be called the Samsung Galaxy G Fold. So, maybe the Samsung Galaxy G Fold will mark the beginning of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold product portfolio. However, as we mentioned before, nothing is confirmed as of now.
But one thing is certain. We are closer than ever in getting the first triple folding smartphone from Samsung. It is, as per leaks, going to be an inward folding device with a dual hinge mechanism. This was sort of confirmed when the tri-fold was recently spotted within the One UI 8 beta build.

It will likely feature a single outer secondary display with two rear back panels and a single dual-folding main screen. The device when closed will be similar in form factor to the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Other than that, it is also expected to feature a triple rear camera setup and draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. It will most likely get paired with 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB storage. Apart from that, leaks suggest that Samsung's tri-fold could arrive with a premium build.
With that said, we will know for sure and better when Samsung officially reveals information about the tri-fold smartphone. We are excited to see what Samsung does for its debut triple folding phone and will be sure to cover its details here at Beebom Gadgets as and when they appear.
