Vivo is preparing to soon launch a successor to its last year's flagship X Fold 5 foldable. The brand has now officially showcased the Vivo X Fold 6 in all its glory, revealing its design and some interesting details.
Vivo X Fold 6 to Become the First Foldable with Teleconverter Lens Support
The latest Weibo post from Vivo's Vice President of Product, Huang Tao, has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will become the first folding phone in the world to come with a Teleconverter lens support. It will feature the ZEISS 200mm G2 teleconverter, the same one used for the Vivo X300 Ultra.

To complement it, the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a 1/1.4-inch 200 MP Samsung HPB primary camera, with an f/1.68 aperture and CIPA 4.5 level image stabilisation. This is a huge step up over the 50 MP camera of the Vivo X Fold 5 and will also become the first foldable phone from the brand to pack a 200 MP main sensor.
It will be further accompanied by a Zeiss APO-certified periscope telephoto camera, which will make use of the Sony LYT-602 sensor and similar image stabilisation. While the megapixel value remains unconfirmed, leaks point to a 50 MP unit. This will reportedly be joined by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera as well.

To show the phone's camera prowess, Vivo's product manager Han Boxiao shared some camera samples via his official Weibo handle. He further confirmed that just like the Vivo X300 Ultra, the X Fold 6 will also feature a dedicated V3+ imaging chip and will offer a range of AI-backed photography features, including AI editing tools.
Moreover, the X Fold 6 is also confirmed to bring an 8.02-inch folding display, utilising the Samsung M14 luminous display material. This will enable the smartphone to hit 5,000 nits of peak brightness and can even go as low as 1 nit. The panel will be backed by third-generation TÜV Rhineland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

Also, Huan Tao has shared the official design of the smartphone and they corroborate the recent Vivo X Fold 6 hands-on images leak that showed off its back design. The phone is confirmed to launch in a teal blue colourway, which seems to be the theme this year. The smartphone will also bring more rounded corners and a slightly shorter footprint compared to the X Fold 5, while retaining the large circular camera deco.
Apart from that, the Vivo X Fold 6 is confirmed to feature the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor, which could be an overclocked Dimensity 9500 chipset. In addition, the flagship foldable will feature an updated Atomic Workbench in OriginOS 6 Fold with five apps multitasking support, a new AI File Manager and AI Voice Engine for an upgraded on-device AI experience.
That said, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to go official sometime in Q3 2026. With official details dropping regularly, it won't be long before we get an actual launch date confirmation. So, stay tuned.
