Rumour mills have already started churning out reports about the Vivo X500 series, which is still months away from launch, and according to a new leaked detail, we now know the camera specifications and the chipset used in the X500 Pro or the X500 Pro Mini devices.
Vivo X500 Pro Series Could Pack Triple Camera with 64MP Telephoto Lens
Trusted tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) took it to Weibo to share these new leaks about the Vivo X500 series. According to the post, the device is currently being tested with the next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chipset, which is based on TSMC's 2nm architecture.

DCS also shared the camera configuration of the engineering prototype, which is said to have a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology, paired with a 50 MP ultrawide camera. The setup could also feature a 64 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. This completely lines up with the earlier Vivo X500 Pro series' leaked specifications.

Digital Chat Station has also clarified that the 64 MP lens will feature the new Sony IMX06H sensor. This is an interesting revelation, as it points to the fact that Vivo could reserve the 200 MP telephoto camera for the high-end X500 Pro Max.
As for the rest of the rumoured specifications, the Vivo X500 Pro or the Pro Mini could feature a 6.37-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. Older leaks have also suggested that the X500 series could come with a 7,000mAh battery with up to 100W fast charging. And it might ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
But we will get more details about the X500 series and its specifications as we inch closer to the launch, which should be around Q3-Q4 2026.
