Whether you want to repair your Xiaomi phone, sell the old phone or simply verify a second-hand Redmi phone, knowing the warranty status saves you a lot of trouble. Xiaomi makes this fairly easy, and the same verification process works across Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones since all three brands share the same origin. On that note, let's go ahead and learn how to check the warranty on Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones.
Find the IMEI Number of Your Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco Phone
Before you can do a Mi warranty check, you need to check your Xiaomi phone's IMEI number or serial number. There are three quick ways to find it. The easiest method is to open the Phone app and dial *#06# to see the IMEI number. By the way, there are many such Xiaomi secret codes that you can find in our article.
Coming back, the IMEI numbers will pop up on your screen instantly. If your phone has dual SIM support, you will see both IMEI 1 and IMEI 2. You can use any one of the IMEI numbers.

Alternatively, head to Settings > About phone > All specs and scroll down to find the IMEI and serial number (S/N). You can also long-press on the IMEI to copy it.
If your Redmi phone is not booting, you can still find the IMEI number on the white sticker at the back of the phone box. It's usually printed right next to the model name and colour variant.
Check Warranty on Xiaomi and Redmi Phones
Xiaomi has an official page where you can check warranty of your Redmi, Xiaomi or Poco phone. You can also raise a service request if you want. Here is how to do it.
- Head to Xiaomi India's official after sales page in a web browser.
- Now, enter your IMEI or serial number in the input field and click on Search.
- It will now display your Redmi device's warranty details including the model name, activation date and remaining coverage.

- If the India page shows a network error, you can try Xiaomi's global page over here.
- It lets you check whether your Xiaomi phone is authentic or not.

Other Ways to Check Your Xiaomi Phone's Warranty

If the methods above do not work for some reason, you have a couple of fallback options. You can also reach Xiaomi India's customer support on 1800-103-6286 (toll-free) or use the live chat option on Xiaomi's India support page. Provide your IMEI number to the agent and they will share the exact warranty status. This is particularly useful for various Xiaomi products.
What Does the Xiaomi Warranty Cover?
All Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones sold in India come with a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty that covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use. Spare parts and labour costs are both free during this period. You can check out Xiaomi's official warranty page for more detail about your specific model.
However, the warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorised repairs or any modification that voids the warranty. If you want extra peace of mind, you can buy a Mi Extended Warranty plan from Mi.com within 270 days of delivery (9 months) to add another year of coverage once the standard warranty runs out.
