Apart from Spotify and YouTube Music, one of the popular music streaming choices on Android happen to be Apple Music. It is the go-to destination for fellow audiophiles looking to experience hi-res and Lossless audio quality. Now, the beta subscribers of the application are being treated with new UI changes and features, borrowed straight from its iOS counterpart.
The latest Apple Music 5.0 beta for Android is now rolling out to users who have already signed up for the beta program via the Google Play Store. Non-beta users can simply visit the Apple Music Beta signup page to become a tester.
First spotted by 9to5Google, once in the app, users will be treated with a new and fresh UI overhaul that brings the app on Android at par with iOS, specifically the iOS 26 update for iPhones. The familiar rounded rectangle buttons are now replaced with pill-shaped ones. This new change is consistent across the app's UI on Android.

For instance, the shuffle, repeat, and autoplay at the top of the music queue bear the new change. Even the play and shuffle button located just below the album art inside album list, have also received the same treatment.
The only area where this new UI change is not visible is on the homescreen widgets for Android. Also missing is the Liquid Glass revamp that Apple announced at WWDC 2025 and is now part of Apple's portfolio of devices.

Apart from this, this new update also brings a long awaited feature to Android. The ability to pin music on top of libraries is now finally live with the 5.0 beta update. Users will be able to pin songs, albums, playlists or artists, available via various overflow menus within the application.
The process to do that is also pretty straightforward. For instance, users looking to pin songs can simply long press on it to trigger the overflow menu. From there, the "Pin Song" option will allow the user to complete the action.
These pinned items will appear at the top of the Library menu and can be unpinned easily by long pressing on the pinned item. For seamless listening experience, pins are synced across all Apple devices.
Apart from this, the Apple Music splash screen has been updated to easily access month-by-month and year-on-year replays along with lyrics translation and pronunciations.
