It is the season of smartphone price hikes and every major brand has jumped in on the occasion to make their previously launched phones more expensive. From Realme to even budget brands like Ai+ have quietly raised the prices of their best-selling phones, making them more expensive to own from now on.
Realme, Redmi, Motorola and Ai+ Phones Price Hiked in India
This development comes after tipster Sanju Choudhary shared retailer price hike memos for brands like Realme, Redmi, Motorola and Ai+. We also checked from our end and indeed, starting April 1, 2026, in total, 16 existing smartphones now cost more in India. The list includes:
- Motorola G06 Power
- Ai+ Pulse
- Ai+ Nova 5G
- Redmi 15C 5G
- Redmi 15 5G
- Redmi Note 15 5G
- Realme C71 4G
- Realme C83 5G
- Realme P3 Ultra 5G
- Realme P4 Pro 5G
- Realme P4 Lite 5G
- Realme 15 5G
- Realme 15T 5G
- Realme 15x 5G
- Realme C85 5G
- Realme 16 Pro 5G

This has effectively made the entry-level, affordable, budget, mid-range and upper mid-range segment phones all expensive in India. For instance, the Ai+ Pulse, which launched for Rs 7,499 for 4 GB + 64 GB, now costs Rs 7,999, a Rs 500 price hike. The same is true for the 6 GB + 128 GB variant.
Similarly, Redmi 15C 5G, which launched in India for Rs 13,999, now has a Rs 1,500 price hike, making the starting 4 GB + 128 GB model's MSP Rs 15,499.

On Motorola's end, the Moto G06 Power, which launched for Rs 7,499, has now received a price hike of Rs 2,500, making the 4 GB + 64 GB model now cost Rs 9,999. As for Realme, the popular Realme P3 Ultra will now cost Rs 3,000 more, taking the 8 GB + 256 GB variant from Rs 25,999 to Rs 28,999.
Aside from these phones, all the other above-listed phones have also seen a price hike ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. That said, with brands fully shifting the market crisis burden to consumers, it is getting harder day by day to recommend a good smartphone.
