Circle to Search is one of the more useful features on Android, and Google is constantly upgrading its experience to better support the user's needs. It recently gained the ability to provide real-time on-screen translations and now, Circle to Search is getting smarter with the ability to read PDFs and web pages.
Circle to Search Gains Real-Time PDF and Web Page Analysis
Spotted by folks over at Android Authority, the new Circle to Search capability now integrates Gemini's deep learning capabilities right onto the user's screen. When triggered, the Circle to Search searchbox now says “Ask about screen", with the “Search with more context" text description.

It allows users to automatically send URLs, webpage data and PDF metadata to Google for deeper analysis. It uses the AI Mode to process the sent data to provide more context-aware search results. Moreover, this new functionality works across Google Workspace apps and as well as first-party apps like Chrome and Flies app.
Even though Gemini can perform a similar function, the ability to trigger Circle to Search and jump right into contextual conversation is much more convenient. It will allow users to seek more context regarding PDPs and web pages, ask follow up questions and even generate an AI overview of the content.

That said, Circle to Search's PDP and webpage analysis feature is currently limited to the Google beta 17.18.24 version and is not available for everyone yet. We tried to test the feature on our smartphone and couldn't get it working. Hence, we believe the new Circle to Search capability will enter stable release shortly with a wider rollout in the coming weeks.
