This week seems to be a hoot for Pixel fans, as the rumour mill is abuzz with new information. Recently, we learned the tentative Pixel 10 launch date. And now, fresh leaks hint at a software-based advanced image stabilisation system for the Pixel 10 series.
According to Android Headlines, the Google Pixel 10 series will feature an advanced imaging algorithm that will help the phones achieve "gimbal-level smoothness" in terms of video stabilisation.
Moreover, Google will use this software wizardry across the lineup, viz, the Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
For years, Google has upped its imaging game in terms of photos, and now, this seems like a major step forward in terms of video recording. Besides, not too long ago, leaks hinted at the vanilla Pixel 10 getting the telephoto treatment to keep up with its big brothers. Sprinkle some gimbal software stabilisation on top, and you've got a vlogger's best friend at around $800.

There's a chance that Google may offer a dedicated ultra-smooth stabilisation option that fuses video footage from both the primary and ultra-wide cameras for this gimbal-like experience. This is much like the ultra-stabilisation mode we get to see on Vivo and iQOO flagship phones.
As for other expected Google Pixel 10 specifications, here's a quick rundown:
- Google Tensor G5
- Up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage
- 50 MP Samsung GN8 primary sensor
- 11 MP telephoto sensor
- 5000mAh battery
- 30W fast charging
Google is rumoured to unveil the Pixel 10 lineup on August 20, 2025. All the Pixel 10 colours, including the new Light Porcelain and Midnight, were leaked online recently. We expect to see more leaks and speculations surface in the coming days. So, keep a close watch on this space for the latest updates.
