Google is giving screen savers a much-needed revamp on its newly launched Google Pixel 11 lineup. While the feature remains disabled by default, the updated version expands on the customisation and functionality front out of the box, making it much more useful.
Pixel 11 Features Multiple Screen Savers and Swiping
Spotted first by 9to5Google, Pixel 11 users can select multiple screen savers and easily switch between them on the fly, similar to Apple's StandBy mode on iOS. The only difference being, instead of swiping across, Pixel uses standard back swipe gestures.

The update also adds a new screen saver option called "Charge". As the name suggests, it is tailored specifically for when the phone is plugged in. It displays the current battery percentage across the majority of the screen, with a smaller clock situated at the bottom.
Besides, it also brings a visual progress bar to highlight the 80% and 100% charging milestones, alongside time estimates to reach both levels.
Alongside the new charging layout, the traditional lock screen Clock has also received new customisations. Google has consolidated the separate analogue and digital clock options into a single, unified menu.

While these screen savers and lock screen clock designs are exclusive to the Pixel 11 series, they should trickle down to older Google Pixel phones with an update. With Google already pushing Canary updates and Android 17 QPR1 Beta 9 coming to a close, these features should arrive in the September feature drop.
These aren't the only new features on the Pixel 11 series, though. There's a new Pixel Search application alongside Rambler and an improved Camera app. Besides, Google is reviving the Double-Tap to Sleep gesture, expected to arrive in future Android releases, and the ability to generate lock screen clocks via AI, so stay tuned.
