After multiple teasers and updates, Honor has finally launched the 500 series in China. The Honor 500 and 500 Pro bring some noteworthy upgrades like a 200 MP main camera, an 8,000mAh battery, flagship Snapdragon processors and more. Here's a detailed breakdown of the complete specifications, pricing and availability details of both phones.
Honor 500, 500 Pro Specifications and Features
Right off the bat, the most striking aspect of the Honor 500 and the Honor 500 Pro is their design. Both phones bring a considerable shift from their predecessors, with a new iPhone Air-inspired vertical edge-to-edge pill-shaped camera bar.
The back glass is now cold-carved, which creates a seamless transition between the back and the camera deco. Unlike the Honor 400 series, both smartphones are now boxier with rounded corners, flat frames and a flat display, with a new AI button added to the mix.

At the front, both phones feature the exact 6.55-inch 1.5K 120 Hz LTPS 10-bit AMOLED panel with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR Vivid support and a whopping 6,000 nits of peak brightness.
The display on the Honor 500 series can also go as dim as 1 nit, thanks to hardware-level PWM support. It also comes with features like Glove Touch protection, professional colour calibration and Honor Oasis Eye Protection.

Under the hood, the regular Honor 500 draws its power from the 2024 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The 500 Pro, on the other hand, ships with last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. They also pack up to 16 GB of RAM, with only the 500 Pro having a 1 TB storage variant to offer.
Software-wise, the Honor 500 series ships with MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. It brings some nifty features to the table like interactive themes, YOYO Image assistant, Honor Any Door, AI-assisted writing and more.

Coming to the cameras, this is where the Honor 500 and the 500 Pro majorly differ. To start with, the Honor 500 brings dual rear cameras, while the 500 Pro gets a triple rear camera setup. Both phones feature the same 200 MP main camera with an f/1.9 aperture and OIS support.
However, the Pro has an extra 50 MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture and OIS. There is also a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens which is common to both smartphones.

Coming to the battery and charging capabilities of the smartphones, both bring the same 8,000mAh battery to the table. They also support 80W fast USB-C charging, with the 500 Pro also getting 50W wireless charging support.
Apart from that, the Honor 500 series brings an official IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, dual 5G SIM support and more.

Lastly, talking about their pricing, the standard 500 starts from 2,699 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 34,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. Meanwhile, the 500 Pro begins at 3,599 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 45,200) for the same base variant.
