After making the Honor 400 series official in China earlier this year, it looks like the Honor 500 lineup is on schedule to launch next year. While the brand is yet to confirm its details, the standard Honor 500 has now surfaced on Geekbench, shedding light on the smartphone's performance.
Honor 500 could draw its power from Qualcomm's 2025 "flagship-killer" chip
The Geekbench listing of the Honor 500 is now live on the benchmarking website with the Honor MEY-AN00 SKU. The upcoming smartphone from Honor managed to score 2,113 points in the single-core test, while hitting 6,539 points in multi-core. Other details confirm the presence of 16 GB RAM and MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

As for the processor, the listing mentions an octa-core SoC with 2 cores clocked at 2.02 GHz, 2 cores clocked at 2.80 GHz, 3 cores clocked at 3.01 GHz and 1 core clocked at 3.21 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is, it is very likely we are looking at the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. So, expect the GPU to be the Adreno 825 one.
If true, this will bring a substantial jump in the Honor 500's performance, as the Honor 400 featured the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip which is a mid-range processor. Hence, it is good to note that the upcoming phone will position itself above the mid-tier category. Other than that, at the time of writing, not much is known about the upcoming smartphone. Honor has been tight-lipped about the same and has also not started teasing the device yet.

A few days back, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the alleged sketch of the Honor 500's design. It revealed a design familiar to the Pixel 9 with the top pill-shaped horizontal camera bar and a dual camera module. The phone will also seemingly feature a flat profile with rounded corners. Notably, the line art makes it seem as if the smartphone will be sleek.
Aside from that, expect the phone to bring a 6.5-inch 1.5K 120 Hz OLED display, 80W fast charging support, a 200 MP main camera and a 50 MP selfie camera to the table. Obviously, these are speculation at this time so take them with a pinch of salt. We will report on anything concrete as soon as official details are shared.
