Ahead of its launch next week, iQOO has teased the display and thermal capabilities of its compact gaming tablet, the iQOO Pad Ultra. The tablet will launch alongside the iQOO 16 and will focus on performance and content consumption.
iQOO Pad Ultra Display Can Get as Bright as 4,500 Nits
The official iQOO Weibo account has revealed that the iQOO Pad Ultra will boast an 8.8-inch OLED display that can get as bright as 4,500 nits. The panel is tuned for gaming, with support for a 165 Hz refresh rate and an impressive sub-1ms response time.
The tablet also boasts narrow 2.65 mm uniform bezels on all four sides, leading to a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. The front-facing camera is cleanly integrated via a punch-hole cutout.
Additionally, the post reiterates the iQOO Pad Ultra launch date, which is set for September 29, 2026.
To cool off the powerful and new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, iQOO Pad Ultra is also confirmed to use active cooling out of the box. iQOO's "industry's first ice dome five-heavy air-cooled cooling system" with a 30 mm cooling fan should help the tablet maintain sustained peak performance without thermal throttling.
To reiterate, the iQOO Pad Ultra is launching alongside the iQOO 16 flagship smartphone. The latter is already confirmed to boast Samsung's latest M16 OLED technology alongside a triple 50 MP rear camera setup.
Both the phone and the tablet will also feature iQOO's in-house Q4 chip to deliver native 165 fps gaming with lower latency for a smoother gaming experience. With the launch date set in stone, more information about these devices should be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
