Lava has expanded its Flipkart-exclusive "Virat" series in India with the launch of the Lava Virat Curve 5G. This is the fourth phone in the lineup and also the first one to feature a curved AMOLED display and a rear mini display for quick access to notifications.
Lava Virat Curve 5G Specifications and Features
It is beyond a doubt that the design of the Lava Virat Curve 5G is one of the phone's primary USPs. The smartphone gets a curved AMOLED display at the front, much like the Vivo S2. However, the phone steals the show with its discrete mini display at the back.
The monochrome display is part of the camera deco and is located at the bottom pill-shaped cutout. Lava says that users can map the display to act as a visual volume indicator, show the battery percentage, emojis, custom messages, time, notifications, and the "LAVA" logo.
At the front, the Lava Virat Curve 5G offers a big 6.67-inch 3D curved 10-bit AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, a 1,920 Hz PWM dimming frequency and 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The panel is protected by Al-Si DT Star 2 glass.
For performance, the smartphone relies on the mid-range Dimensity 7100 chipset, found in models like the Ai+ Nova 2 Power 5G and the Ai+ Nova 2 Pro. What's impressive is that the smartphone is paired with 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Software-wise, the Lava Virat Curve 5G offers a clean and bloatware-free Android 16 experience. The OS comes with some handy features like access to Lava's own Vayu AI assistant. The smartphone is promised to receive 2 years of software and 3 years of security updates.
In terms of cameras, the Virat Curve 5G brings a single rear camera, fitted with a 50 MP Sony IMX752 main camera sensor. The phone offers a 13 MP selfie shooter with screen flash for night-time selfies.
In terms of battery, the Lava Virat Curve 5G is fitted with a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. However, the phone ships with a 33W charger in the box.
As for the rest, the smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an IP64 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification, IR blaster, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.

For the first sale, the phone will be sold for Rs 19,999, inclusive of Rs 1,000 credit card discount from HDFC, ICICI, SBI and Axis bank. Lava Virat Curve 5G will go on sale starting September 28, 2026, via Flipkart and will be sold in Heritage Indigo, Ellora Slate and Makrana Ivory colour options.
