It's almost that time of the year when MediaTek unveils its next-generation chipsets. Well, new details about the Dimensity 9500 have emerged, suggesting great gains in GPU performance.
According to Ice Universe on Weibo, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 could offer exceptional gaming performance with 40% better efficiency and performance. Besides, it could break the 100 FPS barrier with ray-tracing enabled, offering true-to-life reflections in games for a quality gaming experience.

The Dimensity 9500 already leaked in early benchmarks, suggesting strong gains, scoring over 3,900 points in single-core and 11,000 points in multi-core. For comparison, the Dimensity 9400 scores around 2900 points in single-core and 9,000 points in multi-core.
The SoC is expected to feature a Cortex-X930 prime core alongside 3x Cortex-X9 cores and 4x Cortex-A7 series cores. GPU-wise, it's expected to feature the Immortalis Drage GPU with 16 MB of L3 cache and up to 100 TOPS NPU. It could also support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 and is expected to be made on TSMC's 3nm N3P process.
Like the Dimensity 9400 series, MediaTek could also bring a Dimensity 9500+ SoC, as a slightly overclocked version of the standard Dimensity 9500. The Dimensity 9500 is expected to go neck and neck with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, that's set to release in September 2025.
Dimensity 9500 will likely power the Oppo Find X9 that leaked recently, and the Vivo X300 series, followed by many other devices in the future. The chipset is expected to launch in October this year, so stay tuned as we dive deeper into the specifications of the same once it's available.
