Vivo launched its X200 series of smartphones last year and its biggest highlight was the impressive set of cameras. With the X300 series expected to debut later this year, it appears the upcoming lineup will feature an upgraded camera setup all around.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the phones in the Vivo X300 series will equip a triple camera setup featuring a 200 MP primary 1/1.4 sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens and a 50 MP telephoto IMX882 3X unit. This camera system is also touted to host a new optical focus prism module.

It's an upgrade over the standard X200 and X200 Pro mini, which featured triple 50 MP cameras. While the X200 Pro and Ultra models have featured 200 MP cameras, those units were limited to the telephoto lenses, not the primary sensors. So, it's possible that the above leak is specific to the standard X300 model. That's because the leaker has also claimed that a top-of-the-line X300 version (possibly, the X300 Ultra) will equip two 200 MP sensors, one for the primary unit and another for the periscope telephoto lens.
It's said that the X200 Pro Mini could be replaced by the standard X300. This model is expected to feature a 6.3-inch 120 Hz OLED display, IP68 + IP69 certification for water and dust resistance, wireless charging and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. All models, however, could likely be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.
With its launch expected to come later this year, possibly in October, we should get more information of the Vivo X300 lineup in the next couple of months.
