Motorola Edge 70 Pro Design Showcased

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro doesn't deviate from the brand's core design language and looks very similar to the Motorola Signature. We see the same dedicated squircle camera module at the back housing three cameras with an LED flash. There's also the Motorola branding at the centre.

Additionally, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is now confirmed to arrive in the Pantone Lily White, Pantone Tea and Pantone Titan colour options. While the white option will feature a satin luxe finish, the tea will sport a marble finish and the titan will flaunt a tailored fabric finish.

It appears the previously leaked Motorola Edge 70 Pro colour options are reserved for the global markets. If not, then that leak was probably false, although the design was spot on.

The Edge 70 Pro will also be a durable smartphone, courtesy of IP68 + IP69 ratings and MIL-810H military-grade certification.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Key Specifications Confirmed

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is confirmed to feature a big 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED quad-curved display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of an impressive 5,200 nits. This screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. To further enhance the multimedia experience, the phone will arrive with Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.

Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Motorola is also adding a 4,600mm2 vapour chamber cooling to the phone for offering better thermals when gaming.

On the software front, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro runs on Android 16-based Hello UI out of the box. The phone will also bring Moto AI to the table, featuring "next-gen intelligent integrated AI" with Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity. Motorola is promising three years of OS updates and give years of security patches.

In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro will feature a 50 MP Sony LYT-710 primary "3-in-1" rear camera sensor, which could be paired with an ultra-wide and telephoto shooter. The phone is also being marketed to offer good night photography with AI-enhanced low-light imaging processing by utilising the Dimensity 8500's power. Motorola also confirms that the phone can record 4K @ 60 FPS videos through all its lenses.
