After multiple teasers and updates, OnePlus has finally made the OnePlus 15 official in India. It is the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone in the country and features top-of-the-line specs. Here is a complete specification, pricing and availability details rundown of the latest OnePlus flagship.
OnePlus 15 brings the flagship experience inside a refreshed chassis
Right off the bat, the OnePlus 15 looks nothing like the OnePlus 13 and features a complete design departure from the previous generation. In fact, the new design is reminiscent of the OnePlus 13s, in an inflated way. There is now a new square camera deco with more rounded edges and a flat side. The familiar Hasselblad camera branding is also missing, since OnePlus is now using its in-house DetailMax camera engine.

Alongside the new design, the OnePlus 15 also brings a major display change. Instead of the 13's 2K quad-curved panel, it now features a 6.78-inch BOE X3 flat LTPO OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate and hardware-level low brightness of up to 1 nit.
The screen is also Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certified, along with DisplayMate A++ ratings. This is also the world’s first display to receive the “Little Gold Label” eye protection certification.

In terms of performance, under the hood, the OnePlus 15 gets the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm. It is also the first smartphone in India to bring this chipset. It can be paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
OnePlus is also using the new Glacier Cooling System vapour chamber cooling inside the OnePlus 15 for superior thermal management. Moreover, this is the first smartphone which uses the latest OnePlus OP Gaming Core technology to bring features like 120 FPS stable frames and 80% better GPU rendering at the chip level.

Software-wise, the OnePlus 15 has become the first phone in India to bring Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box. OnePlus is promising 5 years of software and 6 years of security updates for the OnePlus 15.
The new OxygenOS 16 features include Flux Themes 2.0, icon blur effects, glass-like UI, Mind Space updates, Parallel Processing 2.0 and more.

OnePlus 15 is the first phone to bring the DetailMax camera engine
One of the biggest updates with the OnePlus 15 is the debut of the brand's in-house DetailMax Engine, which has replaced the four-year-old camera partner Hasselblad. The smartphone features a triple camera setup at the back, with a 50 MP Sony IMX906 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size and support for Auto Focus and OIS.
There is also a 50 MP Samsung JN5 W-shaped 3.5x periscope telephoto camera along with a 50 MP Samsung OVD50D ultra-wide module. The smartphone also gains a 32 MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera. In terms of video, the rear camera setup can record up to 8K @ 60 FPS footage, while the selfie camera is limited to 4K @ 30 FPS.

Now, alongside the design, display, camera and performance upgrades, the OnePlus 15 has also brought changes to the battery and charging department. It now features a massive 7,300mAh battery compared to the 6,000mAh inside the OnePlus 13. It is complemented with 120W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging.
Lastly, the OnePlus 15 brings an upgraded IP protection with an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating. It also brings an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a stereo speaker setup to the table. Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus 15 now has a dedicated G2 network chip, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support, GPS, NFC, dual 5G SIM support and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.
