While tracking these price hikes has become more difficult than ever, we've been keeping close tabs on them in our smartphone price hike tracker. The OnePlus price hike follows a recent Vivo price hike, where the brand has hiked the prices of its budget smartphones by Rs 2,000.
This pricing shift paints a concerning picture for budget-conscious buyers. With a basic 4 GB RAM configuration now costing over Rs 20,000, the market for the best 5G phones under Rs 20,000 is rapidly shrinking.
As the industry continues to adjust to shifting market dynamics, the ongoing RAM crisis is expected to make things worse in the future. While smartphone pricing has slipped beyond repair, those in dire need of one might not want to hold off any longer.
