Not too long ago, the Realme 16 Pro series launched in India, and now it seems the brand is prepping to launch the regular Realme 16 soon. The phone has arrived in Vietnam as a mid-range offering, packing a capable MediaTek processor, a big battery and a near-compact display.

Realme 16 5G Specifications and Features

Kicking things off with the design, the Realme 16 5G has taken a radical shift when compared to its predecessor. It now features a horizontally aligned camera bar at the top, much like Google Pixel phones. However, one could easily mistake it for an iPhone Air-inspired design.

However, that's not the key design element of the phone. It offers a unique proposition with a rear embedded selfie mirror. The brand claims that using this, users will be able to conveniently turn the dual camera setup at the back into high-res selfies.

Since we are already on the topic of cameras, let's get that out of the way. It features a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera with OIS and a 2 MP monochrome sensor. There is also a 50 MP selfie shooter at the front, with an f/2.4 aperture. All three lenses make use of Realme's LumaColour Imaging tech.

In terms of display, the Realme 16 flaunts a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The panel also boasts AGC DT-Star D+ glass protection.

Under the hood, the smartphone uses MediaTek's Dimensity 6400-Turbo chipset, which is just a slightly overclocked variant of the regular Dimensity 6400. This chipset is paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It ships with RealmeUI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Battery-wise, the phone packs a 7,000mAh cell with 60W fast USB-C charging. Apart from that, it also features an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, dual SIM 5G, GPS, NFC and more.

In Vietnam, the starting price of the Realme 16 5G has been set at 11,490,000 Vietnamese dong (approximately Rs 41,000) for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant. It also comes in a 12 GB + 512 GB model, which is priced at 12,490,000 Vietnamese dong (approximately Rs 45,000). The smartphone comes in Black Mystic Cloud and White Shallow colour options.
