In just three days' time, Realme will make its flagship GT 8 lineup official in China. With each passing day, the brand is teasing more and more details of the upcoming phones and now, the Realme GT 8 Pro camera details have been confirmed.
Realme GT 8 Pro will use a 50 MP Sony primary rear camera
Aside from the already confirmed 200 MP periscope camera for the Realme GT 8 Pro, the brand's official Weibo handle and China website have been updated to reveal more details of the upcoming flagship's cameras.
Realme claims that the 200 MP periscope telephoto camera will feature the highest pixel count to date. It will support up to 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 12x stepless variable zoom. Apart from that, the 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor will feature a 1/1.56-inch sensor size and will also be able to capture up to 25cm close-up telephoto shots.

We also get to know that the GT 8 Pro will use a 50 MP Sony IMX906 1/1.56-inch primary rear sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It will be paired with a 50 MP 116° ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, the main camera will feature a new Ricoh GR Anti-glare lens to reduce instances of lens flare and enable distortion-free light and shadow capture.

So, it is clearly evident that the GT 8 Pro is going to feature a very capable camera setup. Also, the biggest highlight this year is the first-ever Realme and Ricoh imaging partnership. Other than that, the GT 8 Pro will also bring a new custom Ricoh-tuned lens for high transparency, minimal distortion and an improved anti-glare performance.

Users will also be able to change the camera deco's look using a swappable camera module system. Aside from that, a new GT 8 Pro specifications leak revealed a 6.78-inch 2K 144 Hz OLED display, a 7,000mAh battery, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Realme UI 7.0 and more.
That said, the Realme GT 8 launch date in China is scheduled for October 21, 2025. It will launch alongside the standard GT 8 and will also become the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone in India.
