After weeks of teasers and updates, RedMagic has finally launched its Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in China as their newest top-of-the-line tablet. Packing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 9.06-inch OLED display and a big battery to power it all, this is a dream come true for every gamer, and it even comes with a fitting look to go with the specs.
RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro Specifications and Features
Before jumping into the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro's specs, right off the bat, the design of the tablet is worth talking about. It features a see-through liquid cooling exhibition window on the back panel, complemented by a bright blue liquid cooling coolant and golden-accented design elements.
The design is similar to what we have seen with the RedMagic 11s Pro series smartphones and is a clear step up over the previous generation. It comes in Silver Wing and Dark Night colourways.

Now, coming to the display, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is equipped with a 9.06-inch OLED screen with 2.4K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate and 5,280 Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming support. It has the same panel as the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which was the industry's first small OLED gaming tablet.
Under the hood, there's the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is the latest flagship SoC from Qualcomm. The octa-core processor is coupled with the brand's proprietary Red Core R4 co-processor, which brings AI upscaling in games alongside a couple of other key gaming-specific additions. It also comes with an in-built PC games emulator to take advantage of demanding AAA titles.

Most importantly, there's an actual turbo fan inside the tablet to manage thermals alongside the liquid-cooling module. Both of them make use of Redmagic's own ICE 3.0 cooling system to manage thermals and ensure optimal sustained performance.
In addition, there's up to 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. As for software, the Redmagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro runs on Redmagic OS 11.5 based on Android 16. The battery is also a key highlight of the tablet, as it comes with a massive 8,300mAh capacity and supports 80W fast charging and bypass charging.

In terms of optics, there is a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front shooter. As for the rest, the tablet comes with two USB-C ports, with one being a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connector, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and a DTS:X ULTRA-certified quad-speaker setup.
Pricing-wise, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro price starts from 5,299 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 74,000) and is up for pre-order via the RedMagic Mall website.
