Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 series has appeared multiple times in the rumour mill in the past few months. Now, the brand is officially putting speculations to rest as Samsung executive Daniel Araujo has revealed the launch timeline of the next-gen tablets.
During the company’s Q3 earnings call, Araujo confirmed (via Android Authority) that the Galaxy S12 series will launch in the second half of 2026. This was in response to a question enquiring about the brand's financial duress due to the ongoing RAM crisis.
To manage this (financial difficulty), we’re focused on maintaining strong sales momentum of the S26 series, while ensuring the successful launch of new premium products coming out in the second half, such as the new foldable series, Tab S12, and Watch Ultra 2.

This doesn't come as a surprise since Samsung has launched new Galaxy tablets in the second half of the past few years. The Galaxy Tab S11 series launched in September last year, so we can expect Samsung to position the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup for a September 2026 launch as well.
For those unaware, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 launched last week. All the devices will go on sale on August 7, 2026. So, with these devices out of the way, the brand is now understandably shifting its focus to the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series: What We Know so Far
Samsung may be skipping the standard Galaxy Tab S12 this year, as recent leaks have only pointed to the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
Recently, the Galaxy Tab S12+ BIS listing went live, hinting at the tablet's India launch. Moreover, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra CAD renders have also leaked, revealing a design that's identical to the Tab S11. Renders showcase a magnetic charging strip for attaching the S Pen and a three-pin pogo connector for accessories like keyboards as well.

Other than that, both tablets are tipped to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset and come with at least 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Galaxy Tab S12 series could retain Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and ship with the Galaxy S-Pen inside the box.
That said, at the time of writing, the exact launch date and month of the Galaxy Tab S12 series are unknown. There is a high chance that the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra will launch with hiked prices since the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Z Flip 8 prices in India were also steeply hiked.
We will learn more details about the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 tablets as the launch timeline nears. So, stay tuned.
