Apple's first foldable iPhone Duo goes on sale on October 23, 2026, and Vivo isn't waiting around. The Vivo X Fold 6 has officially gone global, following its China debut in June. On paper, it brings a bigger battery, faster charging and a bigger camera sensor to the fight.
Vivo X Fold 6 vs iPhone Duo: Specs Compared
Thanks to the iPhone Duo launch last month, we already know all of its specifications, making it easier for us to pit it against the iPhone Duo. Here's a quick rundown of it all in the table below for your reference:
| Specifications | Vivo X Fold 6 | iPhone Duo |
|---|---|---|
| Inner display | 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED, 1-120Hz | 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR |
| Cover display | 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED, 1-120Hz | 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR |
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition (3nm) | Apple A20 Pro |
| Battery | 6,900mAh (deliver up to 9.8 hours of heavy usage on a single charge) | Up to 24 hours of typical mixed usage |
| Charging | 80W wired, 40W wireless | 60W wired, 25W wireless |
| Rear cameras | 200 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide, 50 MP 3x periscope | 48 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide |
| Software | OriginOS 7 Fold (Android 17) | iOS 27 |
| Starting price | Not announced globally | $1,999 (Rs 2,99,900 in India) |
Starting with the screens, the Vivo X Fold 6 has the edge in size. Both of its displays are bigger than the Duo's and Vivo says they reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
When it comes to staying power, the Vivo's battery is roughly 2,000mAh larger. Charging is the bigger gap, since 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging dwarf the 60W wired charging speed on Apple's foldable.
Cameras are where Vivo is flexing hardest, with a 200 MP main sensor with OIS and ZEISS tuning. The primary camera is joined by a 50 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP 3x periscope telephoto, which can do up to 100x ZEISS HyperZoom.
Not to mention that the Vivo X Fold 6 also supports the brand's proprietary second-gen 200mm telephoto extender, which makes it one of a kind in the category.

The Apple iPhone Duo goes with a simpler dual 48 MP setup, so Vivo is the one offering a dedicated zoom lens. Megapixels aren't everything, of course, and we'll need to wait for real-world samples. Both foldables also have selfie cameras on the inside and outside.
Apple does have its own cards to play. The Apple A20 Pro chipset and iOS 27, tuned for foldables, offer the polished ecosystem that iPhone users know well.

Vivo counters with productivity features of its own through OriginOS 7 features for the Fold, including a Multi-Task Workbench with four resizable windows. There's also AI Cross-App Drag for moving content between apps and Jovi, an AI agent that handles tasks across your phone and PC.
Build quality is another highlight. The Prism Black version measures just 4.4mm when unfolded and weighs 228g, while the Horizon Blue version is slightly thicker at 4.8mm and 235g. The Vivo X Fold 6 carries IP58, IP59, IPX8 and IPX9 ratings for dust and water resistance and the iPhone Duo sports an IP68 rating.

Vivo has confirmed the global launch but hasn't announced pricing or which markets will get the phone, saying those details will come market by market. It comes in Prism Black and Horizon Blue, with memory options varying by region.
For reference, the Vivo X Fold 6 launched in China for 7,999 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 1,15,000) back in June 2026. The global model also has a 6,900mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 7,000mAh unit in the Chinese version.

Vivo X Fold 6 India Price: What to Expect
Leaks point to the Vivo X Fold 6 price in India being set between Rs 1,29,999 and Rs 1,59,999. Do note that these are only rumours, so the final price and launch date could differ.
But if those numbers hold, the Vivo X Fold 6 would undercut the iPhone Duo's Rs 2,99,900 India starting price by roughly Rs 1.4 to 1.7 lakh.
Vivo hasn't confirmed an India launch yet, but tipster Abhishek Yadav claims it's set for October 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST.

Vivo has built a foldable with serious hardware and, if the leaks are right, a much lower price than Apple's. The iPhone Duo will lean on its ecosystem, but the Vivo X Fold 6 gives buyers a more accessible entry point into the foldable category, packed with all the right specs.
