The Vivo X500 series is back in the news again and this time, fresh leaks have hinted at how the phones will look. Compared to the X300 series, it seems like Vivo is planning to opt for a distinct look for the standard X500 compared to the Pro models.
Vivo X500 Could Look Different Than Its Pro Siblings
As per Digital Chat Station (DCS) via Weibo, the standard Vivo X500 will feature a different camera deco design compared to the Vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max.
Getting into the specifics, the Vivo X500 is said to feature a large circular camera deco at the top-left corner of the back panel. Meanwhile, the Pro models like the Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max, are said to bring a centre circular camera deco.
While the tipster has not explicitly named the phones, the "circular deco design" and emoji reference more than likely point to the X500 lineup.
This is a direct contrast to the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, where both phones shared design symmetry, bringing a cohesive look to the lineup. However, it seems like Vivo plans to shake things up with the X500 series.

In terms of specs, DCS claims the standard Vivo X500 will feature a 6.59-inch display and a 3nm chipset, likely the upcoming Dimensity 9600 chipset. Meanwhile, the Pro models are said to offer display sizes of 6.37 inches (likely for Vivo X500 Pro) and 6.85 inches (likely the Vivo X500 Pro Max), while rocking the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro processor.
Previous reports have indicated that the standard X500 will either feature a 1.5K 144 Hz display or a 2K 144 Hz panel. The phone will reportedly sport a 200 MP main camera alongside a 50 MP telephoto and 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensors.
Battery capacity on the X500 could go up to 8,000mAh and the phone will likely ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
The Vivo X500 series is currently expected to debut in China by September 2026. Meanwhile, reliable tipster Yogesh Brar had earlier revealed that the Vivo X500 series India launch could happen before Diwali 2026. Going by that, we can expect the phone to launch in the country sometime in late October or early November 2026.
