As June dawns upon Google Pixel users, Google is gearing up to launch the stable version of Android 17. Google rolled out Android 17 Beta 4 in May 2026, which was supposedly the last update before the stable release this month. However, it appears that there was still quite a lot to fix and the brand has rolled out a new Android 17 Beta 4.1 update to address that.

Android 17 Beta 4.1 Fixes UI Synchronisation Issue

The update carries the build number CP21.260330.011.A1 for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series and CP21.260330.011 for the rest of the Pixel phones. It includes the May security patch and is now rolling out to all Beta testers.

As for the bugs it resolves, there are five of them directly tied to usability and stability. Starting with the Status Bar Signal Correction, Google marked this issue as resolved in Android 17 Beta 4, but it appears that it was not fully fixed. The same has been fixed now, alongside the Quick Settings mobile data icon not syncing.

That said, there are fixes to External Display Blackouts where an issue in the display driver caused external monitors or secondary displays to go black when selecting higher resolutions.

The Bluetooth Audio Routing issue has also been addressed, where an error resulted in complete silence over Bluetooth accessories following a system interruption, like a timer or an alarm. Problems with Hearing Aids, where paired hearing aids were automatically unlinked and forgotten after a period of inactivity, have also been fixed.

While it doesn't bring any new Android 17 features, these fixes are considerable fixes and great housekeeping by Google to ensure that the Android 17 stable update comes out bug-free and fresh. While the stable update will be arriving soon, those who would still like to try the Beta can enrol their Pixel smartphone on the official Android Beta website.

While we don't know the exact release date of the stable Android 17 update, considering the cadence that Google likes to maintain, it might arrive in mid-June or towards the end of June 2026.
