Google is also bringing next-gen tools to classrooms by collaborating with Atal Tinkering Labs. In this partnership, the brand will integrate Gemini into the workflows of teachers across more than 10,000 schools, for a safe and better curriculum-aligned assistant for over 1 crore students.

To support this initiative, Google will introduce an America-India Connect Subsea Cable Initiative. This new fibre-optic route will link the US, India and the Southern Hemisphere, boosting the bandwidth and reliability.

Besides, Google is also tackling the skills gap with Karmayogi Bharat to bring the iGOT platform to over 2 crore public officials. To ensure inclusivity, the brand is working with Wadhwani AI to develop AI certification courses, which will be available in Hindi, English and over 18 regional languages.

Lastly, Google is also funding these projects with two separate $30 million challenges to fund innovation and research. The brand also inaugurated a Centre for Climate Technology to fast-track AI-driven environmental solutions.

It's great to see Google's AI push in India extending way beyond Gemini AI and spreading its roots into the core sectors that could not only drive AI growth in India but also play an important role in the development of these sectors. The search engine giant has already invested in its Vizag Hub, which is powered by a $15 billion investment.
