While Google gears up to launch the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold at its August 12 event, a new leak has already given us a solid look at what to expect from next year's affordable model, the Pixel 11a.
Pixel 11a Leaked Specifications
The details come from Mystic Leaks on Telegram and suggest that the Pixel 11a could finally be moving on from the Tensor G4 used in the Pixel 10a to a Tensor G6 chipset, skipping a generation entirely. In addition, the phone is said to pack 8 GB of RAM.
Security duties will reportedly be handled by Google's Titan M3 chip, the same security hardware previously rumoured for the standard Pixel 11. The leak also claims that the Pixel 11a will drop Samsung's modem in favour of MediaTek's M90 modem, a change also expected on the standard Pixel 11 lineup.

Battery capacity looks like the one area of concern. The Pixel 11a is said to come with a 4,870mAh unit, down from the 5,100mAh battery on the Pixel 10a. The tipster described this figure as a "minimal capacity," which leaves room for a larger battery in the final product. Moreover, even if the number holds, the added efficiency from the newer Tensor and Titan chips could offset any real-world difference in battery life.
At the front, it will feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels, a 60 - 120 Hz variable refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 3,350 nits.
Perhaps the most interesting change is a new front-facing camera, internally referenced by the codename "dokkaebi," though no further details, like resolution, have been shared yet. Colour options mentioned in the leak include Obsidian, Olive, Frost and Fog.
The latest leak follows a recent report of the Pixel 11a codename showing up inside Google's own Phone app. This suggests that Google is hard at work on the budget Pixel phone.
An exact launch timeline for the Pixel 11a is not known at the moment. Neither is the phone expected to appear at the brand's Pixel 11 series launch event on August 12, 2026. However, based on the fact that the Pixel 10a launched sometime in March last year, we can expect its successor to land around March 2027 as well.
