The Google Pixel Watch 5 has leaked in full ahead of its official debut. Reliable tipster OnLeaks has shared high-resolution renders of Google's next smartwatch in both 41mm and 45mm sizes and all four colour options. The renders have arrived nearly a month before the Made by Google event, which is officially set for August 12 in New York.
Pixel Watch 5: A Familiar Face in Four New Finishes
Anyone expecting a redesign will be disappointed with the Pixel Watch 5 renders. The rounded case that has defined every Pixel Watch returns once again. That said, the good thing is compatibility, as the lug mechanism remains the same. Basically, straps from older models like the Pixel Watch 4 will fit the new one. The charging pins also sit on the side of the case as before.
Coming to the colours, the Pixel Watch 5 lineup consists of Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, Pyrite and Warm Gold. Pyrite is the new one this year and ships with an olive strap. Interestingly, the renders show Warm Gold, which is limited to the smaller 41mm case only while the remaining three finishes are available in both sizes.
The renders match with the four Pixel Watch 5 model numbers that cleared the FCC recently. The same model numbers appeared on India's BIS certification database, which means the Pixel Watch 5 is coming to India imminently after the global launch.
Beyond that, it also revealed Wi-Fi 6 and ultra-wideband support across the lineup. And the cellular models keep the emergency satellite SOS capability that debuted on last year's watch.
Now, coming to pricing. The base 41mm model of Pixel Watch 5 is expected to cost $399 (~Rs 38,000), which is $50 more than before. At the top end, the 45mm LTE variant is said to reach $529 (~Rs 50,600). By the way, rumours also mention that Pixel Watch 5 will pack bigger batteries and a Tensor chip designed specifically for wearables.
On the software side, the Pixel Watch 5 will run Wear OS 7 with support for Gemini Intelligence and it's already rolling out to older Pixel Watches. The new Google Health app is also expected to come pre-loaded on the watch. As per leaks, pre-orders will start on August 13, a day after the announcement and the watch will hit stores on August 20.
Of course, the Pixel Watch 5 had an interesting leak just about a month ago. Back in May, a prototype of Pixel Watch 5 turned up on the ocean floor, which was discovered by a scuba diver. It gave us our first unofficial glimpse of the watch. And now, the Pixel 11 series colour variants also got leaked along with US pricing and storage options.
