iQOO India CEO, Nipun Marya, took to his official X account yesterday to tease the arrival of a new "iQOO Z" series smartphone in India, which was originally believed to be the iQOO Z11. Today, Nipun has confirmed that the phone in question is the iQOO Z11 Lite and has also teased the smartphone's design.
iQOO Z11 Lite Teased to Launch in India Soon
The CEO posted a 7-second-long teaser video on his X account, confirming the iQOO Z11 Lite moniker. The caption reads, "For every student need, there’s a Gen-Z way of doing it. Soon, there will be a Z for it too," which specifies the brand's target audience.
Talking about the design of the phone next, the iQOO Z11 Lite is teased in an off-white colourway. The phone can be seen rocking a pill-shaped vertical dual camera module along with a ring LED flash, glowing in yellow. Now, this could be similar to the AI Pulse Light on the Realme P4R, alerting users to incoming calls and notifications.
The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side of the frame, and based on the teaser video, the back panel appears to feature an abstract pattern. All in all, the design is reminiscent of the Vivo V60, which launched last year. However, we do not expect the Z11 Lite to be priced lower than the V60.
We also get to see the "amazon specials" tag in the teaser, confirming the smartphone will be sold exclusively via Amazon India.
iQOO Z11 Lite Specifications (Leaked)
As for the phone's specs, there is very limited information available at the moment. However, an alleged Geekbench listing of the iQOO Z11 Lite surfaced a few months back with the VI2510 model number, sporting the Dimensity 6300 chipset. The listing also revealed that the phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and runs on the OriginOS 6 update.
Interestingly, the predecessor iQOO Z10 Lite also rocks the same chipset and given the ongoing RAM crisis, it is not surprising. It could also get an LCD display, a 50 MP main camera and a 6,000mAh battery.
The iQOO Z11 Lite will likely sit below the iQOO Z11x and could be priced under Rs 15,000. However, we will know for sure once more official details emerge. So, stay tuned.
