Homegrown brand Lava is expected to launch the Agni 4 smartphone in 2025. While there was no information regarding the device till now, a recent report has shed some light into what Lava is planning for the Agni 4 in India.
An exclusive report coming out of 91mobiles reveals an early look at the Lava Agni 4 design and a bunch of its key specifications. The device is seen in the white colour option with rounded edges and slightly curved sides. It is encased within a flat mid-frame and appears to be made out of metal or brushed aluminium, given the texture and the visible antenna lines.
Since, the frame appears to be flat, Lava might go with a flat AMOLED or OLED panel for the Agni 4. To recall, last year's Lava Agni 3 launched with a 1.5K curved AMOLED panel.

An interesting thing to note here is the design of the camera module. Looks like with Agni 4, Lava will settle for a top centre aligned horizontal pill-shaped camera module. It will be home to a dual camera setup, separated by an LED flash in-between. There appears to be an outer-polished aluminium/metal layer that protects the camera island and also adds to the camera bump.
This is a significant departure from the Lava Agni 3's expanded squircle camera module that not only featured a triple camera setup but also had a mini AMOLED display at the back. This new design seems to be inspired from the LG K61 that launched back in 2020.
In terms of specifications, the publication reveals that the Agni 4 will likely pack more than 7,000mAh of battery. This could be the first Lava smartphone to launch with such a big battery backed by silicon carbon technology. If true, this will be more than a 2,000mAh jump compared to Agni 3 that offered a 5,000mAh battery.
Additionally, in terms of performance, the Agni 4 is expected to get the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor on the Agni 3.
However, in the display department, the device is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz panel, same as the Agni 3.
Since the Agni 4 is expected to feature a dual camera setup, there is obviously compromise in terms of camera lenses. To recall, the Agni 3 featured a primary lens, an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto sensor at the back. So, expect the Agni 4 to feature a primary sensor paired with an ultra-wide or telephoto lens. Both the sensors can be 50 MP shooters.
With that said, the brand is yet to confirm any of these. So, take these developments with a grain of salt. Additionally, expect the device to launch around the Rs 25,000 ballpark since the Agni 3 retailed from Rs 20,999 in India.
