In the past few months, Madhav Sheth parted ways with Honor India and became the founder and CEO of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies. Following this transition, he started sharing cryptic teasers for AI+, the smartphone brand of his new venture. Ahead of the launch, a leak has offered us a first look at the AI+ Nova 2 5G smartphone.
In an exclusive report, GSMArena has revealed what looks to be the back panel of the AI+ Nova 2 5G. It appears to feature a glossy plastic back with a square camera island. It houses a dual camera system and a single-tone LED flash at the top. The AI+ logo is visible at the bottom of the back panel.

Additionally, a product label under the logo reveals not just the name of the phone but also its RAM and storage configuration. The AI+ Nova 2 5G will come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, along with dual SIM support. Currently, it is unknown if the phone will have more configurations.
No more images of the device have leaked online. So, we are unaware of any other physical aspects of the device, like the display size, bezels, ports, button placement, and more. Sheth has revealed that the AI+ range of smartphones will run NxtQuantum OS.
The AI+ smartphone lineup will be sold officially via Flipkart, with the report revealing that it will launch in India on June 25, 2025.
Why is Madhav Sheth launching AI+ Plus phones in India?
Madhav Sheth has already revealed that AI+ phones will target the affordable smartphone segment and start from Rs 5,000. The Nova 5G lineup will include "three distinct models" priced from Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000, making affordable AI-powered 5G phones available to the masses. They will be assembled locally by Ismartu as part of the Government of India's "Make in India" initiative.

As is evident, the big focus here is on "AI", and it will be interesting to see how that translates in terms of user experience in the budget space. While nothing is known about the kind of AI features these phones will include, a recent X post from the brand does hint at something interesting. The post reads, "What if your phone understood your pace, not just your taps?" thereby hinting at an adaptive AI feature.
From dynamic layout adjustments to predictive actions, there could be many things we can expect from NxtQuantum OS.
Since we are still a few weeks away from the official launch of the AI+ Nova 2 series, we expect to hear more from the brand. So, stay tuned for more updates.
