Lately, the rumour mill has been buzzing with the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. While the brand is tight-lipped about the upcoming phone, it has already leaked multiple times, giving us a good idea about the smartphone. Now, thanks to a fresh set of leaks, we know how the smartphone will look from the back.
Motorola planning a design refresh with the Edge 70 Ultra
Folks at Android Headlines have exclusively shared what they claim to be the confirmed back design of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. It has managed to share two images of the backplate in two different colour options. At first glance, it looks like Motorola is set to bring a refreshed look to the yet-to-be-confirmed smartphone.
As it is evident from the above image, the Edge 70 Ultra looks very different from its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The smartphone is now more boxy and the seamless transition between the camera deco and the back is gone. There is a big possibility that the display is also now flat compared to the curved screen on the Edge 50 Ultra. However, that remains undisclosed.
At first glance, the Edge 70 Ultra resembles the toned-down Motorola Edge 70 a lot, especially in the camera deco style. It features an all-black squircle cutout in the top-left corner with a triple camera setup and an LED flash. As for the back panel, it appears to be textured and grippy. It shows off a Dark Blue and an Olive colour option for the smartphone.
As for the smartphone's specs, the recent Edge 70 Ultra Geekbench listing revealed the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor for the smartphone. This makes sense since the Edge 50 Ultra featured the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Since there was no Edge 60 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, the obvious choice for the upcoming phone is the new flagship killer processor.
Other than that, the smartphone is expected to bring a large 6.9-inch 120 Hz OLED display, ship with Hello UI based on Android 16 out of the box and feature a 50 MP periscope camera. That said, the specs of the smartphone are yet to leak properly. So, stay tuned for that.
