Alongside the Oppo Reno 16 launch, the brand has also introduced the Reno 16c in India, bringing a more affordable alternative without straying too far from the premium Reno experience. While the Oppo Reno 16c trims down the specifications in a few areas, it still packs a sleek design, a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a capable Dimensity chipset and a massive battery capacity.
Oppo Reno 16C Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the Oppo Reno 16C shares its aesthetics with the standard Reno 16. It's slightly larger but comes with the same 3D Pop HoloVerse design, specific to the Starry White colourway. This design brings a holographic planetary effect on the back panel of the phone. Other Reno 16c colour options include Stellar Purple and Twilight Violet. The entire package is secured against water and dust thanks to an IP68/69/69K rating.

Coming to the display, the Reno 16C features a bigger 6.57-inch FHD+ LTPS AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, symmetrical bezels and 1,400 nits of peak brightness. For security, there's an under-display optical fingerprint scanner.

When it comes to performance, the Oppo Reno 16C packs a toned-down Dimensity 7300 chipset as compared to the Reno 16's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The D7300 is an octa-core processor based on TSMC's 4nm process with 4x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The chipset is complemented by LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Optics-wise, the Reno 16C cameras are downgraded from the Reno 16 to balance out costs. While it comes with a triple rear camera setup as well, it uses a 50 MP f/1.8 main SC532HS sensor instead of the Sony LYT-600. Then, there's a 50 MP f/2.8 3.5x S5KKN1 telephoto sensor, which is a downgrade from the Samsung JN5 sensor the Reno 16 uses. The ultra-wide shooter has seen the biggest downgrade, going from a 50 MP GCV50F6 sensor to an 8 MP f/2.2 GC08A8 sensor. The front sports the same 50 MP GC50F6 selfie shooter.

Fueling the internals is a larger 7,000mAh battery capable of charging at 80W. For reference, the Oppo Reno 16 packs a 6,700mAh battery, while offering the same charging speeds.
Bringing the experience together is Oppo's ColorOS 16 on top of Android 16. The Oppo Reno 16C also brings features such as Mind Space, which can be activated with the dedicated AI button. Then there's O+ Connect to share files to iPhones, as well as the recently rolled out ColorOS 16 Audio Sharing feature.
As for connectivity, the smartphone brings Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 support and a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging. Unfortunately, the Reno 16C misses out on NFC. There's support for dual SIM with dual 5G and LTE, alongside a wide range of network bands.
